Leading into the evening concert with the Melrose Quartet we are pleased to welcome the ‘Music, Heritage, Place’ team to hear the stories behind the music. Described by BBC Radio as ‘The Song Detectorists’, the team are going into local archives to uncover the music that once echoed through village greens, churches, chapels and local taverns – including discoveries from North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire.

Music, Heritage, Place is led by Royal Holloway, University of London and Newcastle University, and is funded by the Arts & Humanities Research Council.

Tickets to the concert can be booked here
