AT THE NCEM
NCEM’s Music4U project has helped over 36,000 young people living in challenging circumstances from across York, Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire to engage with music.
The pandemic restrictions have been incredibly challenging for everyone, not least our young people. It takesa lot of nerve to film yourself doing something outside of your comfort zone & we saw the growth in many of the young people across the sessions. – Music leader
I like that I have had the chance to write my own songs. I find it difficult to write lyrics and for them to make sense, but Molly has shown me how to develop my ideas – Participant

I have recorded things in FRCA’s studio and have had them played on local radio which has given me confidence in my music aspirations and my music skills. – Participant

Young people and adults have commented on how these sessions are helping with their English, learning English through music is fun.
