Haydn’s quartet in D major, Op. 20, No. 4 is the jewel in the crown of the six Op 20 set. Rachmaninoff’s Andante espressivo is a beguiling miniature: graceful, wistful and colourful. Mendelssohn’s B flat Major Quintet is a late masterpiece.
