Come and enjoy Facets of Time, a dramatic performance based around Elizabethan England’s most iconic artists, William Shakespeare and John Downland, in one of York’s community libraries!
Performed by award winning tenor Daniel Thomson and Sam Brown, “the Eric Clapton of the lute” on their musical tour of some of the city’s libraries following their appearance in the York Early Music Christmas Festival. Sam and Daniel have performed widely across the UK. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Daniel is known for his expressive text based performance, performing widely with major groups across the UK, Europe and Australia. Sam is a graduate of London’s Royal College of Music and one of the leading chordophonists of his generation, known for his sensitive interpretation of Elizabethan music.
