York Chamber Music Festival brings to the city two of the standout recitalists in the country. Tim Lowe is Artistic Director of YCMF and opens this year’s festival with a ‘taster’ – setting out some of the 2025 themes; notably Russian music, playing here Rachmaninov’s gloriously tuneful, sumptuous cello sonata.
