'A peaceful night and a perfect end' - music for Compline
Singers are invited to explore the glorious repertory of the Tudor Church with Philip Cave, director of the vocal ensemble Magnificat.
The music to be studied - which will include Byrd's Lamentations and music for Compline by Tallis, White and Sheppard - will be featured in a concert 'The Tudors at Prayer' to be given by Magnificat in Beverley Minster the evening before the workshop, as part of the Beverley and East Riding Festival. The workshop is open to all voices; a reasonable level of sight singing will be advantageous. The day will conclude with an informal performance at 4.00pm open to all, free of charge.
Fee: £15.00 (students and observers £10.00), to include music.
