Thank you to all who joined us for the 2024 Festival Week.
The Festival celebrated musical creativity from the medieval to the Baroque – intertwining the music of song and metamorphosis in a series of concerts presented within York’s glorious medieval buildings.
Guests included Vox Luminis, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and The Gesualdo Six with highlights including the biennial Young Artists Competition. We were particularly pleased to welcome representatives of the Flanders Government and a host of musicians from Flanders including Cappella Pratensis and Utopia, and were naturally delighted to welcome capacity audiences to some 30 concerts and associated lectures.

The 2025 Festival will run from Friday 4 – Friday 11 July 2025
Guest artists will include The Tallis Scholars, The Sixteen, Fretwork with counter-tenor Alexander Chance and I Fagiolini. Full details will be available in the spring.
